Spring Semester in Paris Program
The University and the City
Paris offers limitless cultural and historic resources. Its
buildings and monuments represent more than 2,000 years of history. Its
museums, theatres and libraries are among the finest in the world. In a
metropolitan area of ten million, there is a wide variety of ethnic
groups and lifestyles. Paris is located
in the north of France, conveniently near other areas of interest such as
Normandy, Brittany, the Loire Valley, and the Champagne region.
The Sorbonne, founded in 1253 by Robert de Sorbon as a college for
poor students, still occupies the original site in the center of Paris.
UWM participants will study at the Cours de Civilisation française.
