Montreal, the largest city in Quebec Province and second largest city in Canada, is a major seaport on the Saint Lawrence River and Seaway. Built around and up the side of Mont Royal (763 feet above sea level) and partially situated on an island in the river, this city of over 2.5 million people is considered one of the most modern, cosmopolitan, and appealing in all of North America.

With a fine reputation and over 50,000 students and 2,000 faculty members, the Universite offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in many areas including social science, humanities, music, engineering, education, theology, and management.
