Another extension of the power rule

We want to extend the power rule to exponents of the form (1/p) where p is an integer larger than 2. We can do this both algebraically and geometrically. This will give us an opportunity to confirm that it is reasonable to expect that the rates of change of inverse functions can be found by taking the reciprocals of rates of change of the original functions.
