Hotel

The conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Milwaukee. Our reserved block of rooms at the Hyatt is now full.

A conference rate is available at the Ramada, approximately one half mile from the Hyatt. To obtain this discounted rate, participants need to call the Milwaukee Ramada at 414-272-8410 and mention the “UWM Math Event.” (Note: You must call the above number; the national 800 number for the Ramada will not work.)

Midwest Airlines

Airport shuttle / Taxi service

Airport Connection provides shared-ride transportation service for conference participants from the Milwaukee Airport to downtown hotels. A round trip ticket can be reserved for $20 per person. This discount rate can be obtained using their online reservation page, or by visiting Airport Connection and entering the discount code “SPRTOP”. To obtain the discount, participants must book at least 48 hours in advance.

Taxicab fare between the airport and downtown hotels costs approximately $25 for one person one way.

Foreign Visitors

Any foreign visitors (including invited speakers) requesting travel support from UWM should read the attached document concerning US Visas or Visa waivers.

Reimbursements

Original receipts are required for reimbursement. This includes but is not limited to the following: airfare, hotel, car rental, local transportation, registration, gas and mileage. The state of Wisconsin has reimbursement limits for certain items. See the UWM Pocket Travel Guide for details.

Any participant requesting reimbursement for airfare must travel by US-Flag Air carriers, if available. For more detailed information please see the NSF General Grant Conditions for details.
