Links
I realize it's hard to imagine Sigurd surfing the World Wide Web. After all, he never progressed to the electric typewriter, much less a computer. But Sigurd also was a firm believer in using new means of communication. He advocated the use of color in environmental group magazines long before the groups began to do it, for example, arguing that it would help attract new readers. If he were alive today he might not surf the web himself, but he would appreciate its potential and advocate putting that potential to good use. In the links listed below, I primarily have chosen sites that focus on people, groups, places or topics that were of special interest to Sigurd Olson. If a site still seems worth mentioning but doesn't fit these criteria, it will be listed in the "other links" section. |
