Image ScanningImage scanning allows instructors to convert photographs and slides to a digital format so they can be displayed in the classroom and on the Web. Online ResourcesScanning Tutorials are offered by the Center for Teaching Innovation at the University of Idaho. They have online tutorials giving an overview of the scanning process, describing the first steps in using a scanner, and illustrating acquiring images for the web or printing. Procedures and Practices for Scanning is provided by UC Berkeley. Their site includes a brief overview of the process, a list of decisions to make before you get started, and links to other web resources.
