Student Response Systems 

The LTC received a Curricular Redesign Grant for 2005-2006 where it is examine the impact of clickers on teaching and learning.

Podcasting 

The LTC has started a small pilot project examining podcasting in the classroom. The LTC will expand their pilot project in the fall of 2006.


Workshops 

The LTC offers free workshops for UWM faculty and teaching staff for both instructional software and for pedagogical topics related to using instructional technology .

Desire2Learn (D2L)

Desire2Learn makes it easy for instructors to develop course Web sites for web-enhanced, hybrid, and totally online courses. Desire2Learn allows instructors to post course content for students, such as lecture notes and course syllabi. Instructors can facilitate discussions, receive documents via the drop box, administer quizzes, and post grades for student to view using D2L as well.

Hybrid/Blended Courses

Instructors can redesign their traditional classes to move substantial course content and student learning activities online, allowing them to reduce the number of in-person class meetings. The LTC staff has in-depth experience with the hybrid teaching model and is internationally recognized for its expertise in hybrid courses.

Fully Online Courses

Instructors can design totally online, or distance education, courses. The LTC staff has expertise that can help instructors in the design and delivery of fully online courses.
