Individual Consulting

The LTC staff offers individual consulting for faculty, teaching staff, and teaching assisants. We are available five days a week either by appointment or on a drop-in basis. We can troubleshoot problems instructors encounter in developing and administering their courses on Desire2Learn (D2L) as well as provide guidance for designing a course that uses D2L. Instructors can schedule an indivdiual consultation for assistnce in setting up the gradebook, creating quizzes, importing items into the question library, importing scantron results, creating discussion forums, and more.

Because our staff has university teaching experience, we can do more than provide technical support to help instructors integrate effective le arning technology into their courses. We understand technology from the instructor's perspective, and we are aware of the advantages and limitations of today's technologies.

The LTC also is available to assist faculty with developing various media. We provide guidance in utilizing image and text scanning as well as video capturing and editing to develop materials to use in their courses.
