Journalism and Mass Communication

UWM Journalism and Mass Communication students learn from an outstanding faculty and from the varied opportunities of a vibrant city with many media organizations.

The undergraduate program offers both insightful academic study of the media and preparation for professional careers in print, broadcasting, new media, advertising, and public relations.

The graduate program involves research on practically any media topic and makes use of critical, cultural, historical, legal, ethical, and social scientific approaches.
