A summer rendezvous and workshop for authors, writers and readers, for artists and photographers, and for wilderness lovers at Vermilion Community College and Listening Point

at Vermilion Community College and Listening Point, Ely, Minn., August 6-9, 2002

Back for a second year by popular demand; with a difference. This year, the workshop will provide graduate credit for teachers and undergraduate credit for students (at the usual fee). The fee for a noncredit guest will be between $25-$50.00 A distinguished faculty will share their art and craft with aspiring artists and authors and the public.

Meet and talk with Jim Brandenburg, Jeff Rennicke, Bob Treuer, Doug Wood, Bob Cary, Bob Olson, Hillary Reeves, Kevin Strauss, Todd Orjala, Lisa Pekuri and Anita Zager, with Doug Hill, Mike Furtman, Jim Huot-Vickery and others.

Also included in the program will be:

  • Escorted tours of Listening Point and Sig Olson's writing shack by Chuck Wick and Don Johnson
  • Films on the lives of Anne LaBastille, Mardy Murie, and Sig Olson
  • Tables for display for authors and artists
  • Faculty dinner at the Grand Ely Lodge (Holiday Inn)
