December
1957 (age 58)
Sigurd
is in Washington, D.C., "in hiding and practically incommunicado"as
he is working hard to meet his deadline for the Listening Point.
On December 20, he finishes the essay "The Witching Hour"
and sends everything to Ann Langen, his and Elizabeth's Ely friend who
pre-edits and types Sigurd's manuscripts for submission. After
Christmas, she writes to say, "I love it! I really mean it's
good!"
