"The Meaning of Wilderness." Sigurd gave this talk to the Utah Academy of Sciences in May 1958. I was able to order a copy in 1983 from Brigham Young University, Department of Audio Visual Services, 290 Herald R. Clark Bldg., Provo, UT 84602.

"The Voyageur Era." Sigurd presented this lecture about the fur trade in a 1976 appearance at Northland College, Ashland, Wis. This half-hour talk is included in an audio cassette called The Voyageurs, produced by the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute and distributed by NorthWord Inc., Minocqua, Wis. The first side of the cassette contains four medleys of traditional voyageur songs performed by the Northland College Voyageurs.

Wilderness Canoe Country. This 1949 film was written by Sigurd F. Olson, narrated by Paul Harvey, photographed by Grant Halladay, and produced by the President's Quetico-Superior Committee. It played a major role in getting northeastern Minnesotans to support a ban on airplanes in the roadless areas of Superior National Forest (the roadless areas were later renamed the Boundary Waters Canoe Area). It is in the Audio-Visual Library, Minnesota Historical Society, St. Paul, Minn.

The Wilderness World of Sigurd F. Olson. This excellent half-hour video profile of Olson was a finalist in the 1981 America Film Festival. Produced by Ray Christensen and Steve Kahlenbeck for Twin Cities Public Television, it is currently distributed by the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute: call (715) 682-1223.
