About ISPREstablished in 1968 as the Social Science Research Facility (SSRF), this unit was originally designed to provide research support. Survey Research(ISPR) provides consulting on all aspects of survey research to U.W.M. faculty, staff, and students and to local governments, non-profit agencies, and businesses. Clients Over the years ISPR have provided research services to many agencies and organizations within the greater Milwaukee area, and from other parts of the state. Among these are local businesses and non-profit organizations, state agencies, and other academic institutions. Questionaire Design The Survey Research Lab staff are experts in designing survey instruments which provide clients with the information they need to answer their research questions.

| Greater Milwaukee Survey The Greater Milwaukee Survey (GMS), conducted each spring and fall, is a semi-annual survey of residents (age 18 and over) of metropolitan Milwaukee. Operated on a cost-shared basis, it gives policy-makers, researchers, and other interested organzations the opportunity to gather reliable data in a cost-effective manner. Quarterly review of economic and social issues relevant to the state of Wisconsin Wisconsin Poll Sponsored by WUWM and the UWM Institute for Survey and Policy Research. Sampling ISPR's Survey Research Lab develops sophisticated sampling designs to best reach targeted populations including procedures specific to rare groups. |
