Congratulations to Terra Anderson!
She just received notice that she won a $2000 student research grant from the International Association for Mathematical Geology for her MS project "Linking the development of quartz fabrics and quantified strains during transpressional deformation."
She also received a $500 research award from the Institute on Lake Superior Geology Student Research Fund. The title of her research is "LINKING THE DEVELOPMENT OF QUARTZ FABRICS AND QUANTIFIED STRAINS DURING TRANSPRESSIONAL DEFORMATION."
