Ryan Holifield is joining the department as a new Assistant Professor, starting in Fall 2007.

Linda McCarthy received a National Natural Science Foundation of China research award (co - PI) to study the changing urban spatial structure of Guangzhou, China.

Anna McGinty published her book Becoming Muslim. Western Women's Conversions to Islam, Palgrave Macmillan, 2006.

Mark D. Schwartz is organizing a USA National Phenology Network (USA-NPN) conference in August, funded by NSF, and also received a NSF grant for work in northern Wisconsin.

Kristin M. Sziarto is joining the department as a new Assistant Professor, starting in Fall 2007.
