STRINGALONG WEEKEND - OCTOBER 24-26, 2008

Escape to a weekend of music and the arts, the company of good friends old and new, and the comforts of Olympia Resort and Spa (30 minutes west of Milwaukee). Enjoy the unique concerts and hands-on teaching of 30 highly acclaimed performing artists from all over the country. Learn to play a new instrument, improve your skills, or take a singing, crafts, instrument-building, dancing, drumming, ecology, or songwriting class. Amaze your friends with your new found ukulele prowess! Make an egg basket or wooden toy to take home. Learn African Drumming from a Master Drummer from Ghana (drums provided), learn to take better digital photographs, and try you hand at handbells. Sing, play and dance, and jam with other folks who share your interests.

Check out our smaller, more intimate and laid-back Pre-Stringalong program on Friday, October 23, with an optional Thursday night or Friday morning arrival. Take a couple of In-Depth (two hour) classes with Muriel Anderson, Joel Mabus, Randy Sabien, Karen Mueller, Neal Walters, Lil Rev, Kim Robertson, Brett Lipshutz, Cathy Barton, Dave Para, Bruce Emery, and Paul Wagner. Or enjoy seeing several of these exciting musicians on stage together, interacting with you and each other, and sharing their music.

While you are in Stringalong classes, your family and friends can share your room and enjoy the luxuries of Olympia Resort. Olympia offers an 18-hole golf course, two swimming pools, hot tub, spa, fitness center, and more. They can even join you for these amazing staff concerts too! All this while your cost for the Stringalongs starts at the low price of $205 for two nights stay, five meals, fourteen unique and amazing staff concerts, and your choice of three classes from over 50 possibilities.
