Retrocredit PolicyIn keeping with all the campuses in the UW System, UWM has a retrocredit policy in foreign languages. This replaces credit by examination, which no longer exists on our campus. Students can receive university credit for prior study of foreign languages by taking a higher level language course and receiving a grade of B- or better. Through this mechanism it is possible to receive credit for up to 14 credits, reflecting the first two years (elementary and intermediate) language courses. Students interested in this office should inquire at the Department office. |
