The Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics teaches the non-Romance languages at UW-Milwaukee, namely:

• Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Irish (all under the Linguistics Program),
• German and Swedish,
• Biblical and Modern Hebrew,
• Greek,
• Latin,
• Polish, and
• Russian.

The University has two other Foreign Language Departments:
