M.A., Hebrew Literature (Summa Cum Laude); Tel Aviv University, 1978. Awarded "Shpan Prize" from Tel Aviv University.
B.A., Comparative Literature, Theory of Literature and Drama/Theater: Tel Aviv University, 1974.

Research and Teaching Interests:
Dr. Mazor has authored 14 scholarly books and over 200 articles and critical essays that have been published in professional and literary periodicals in USA, Israel, Denmark, Norway, England, Italy, France and Germany. Dr. Mazor has delivered over 70 papers in professional conferences both national and international. Dr. Mazor is a welcomed academic speaker in many American universities as well as Israeli and European Universities. Dr. Mazor has lectured recently in the universities of Venice, Paris (INALCO), Prague, Cambridge, Oxford, London, Stockholm International Institute for Jewish Studies, Aarhus University in Denmark and Bergen University in Norway, Toledo and Granada Universitites.

Dr. Mazor's books, articles and essays focus on modern Hebrew literature, contemporary Israeli poetry, Hebrew Enlightenment ("haskala") literature in Eastern Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries, Biblical literature, comparative literature, theory of literature, Scandinavian literature, modern Hebrew drama and Hebrew children's literature.

Baron Prize of Exceptional Accomplishments in Teaching and Research in the Field of Jewish Studies (1997).
National Prize: The Most Distinguished Scholar of Hebrew Literature in USA (Friedman Prize) (1998).
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Most Distinguished Teaching Award (1999).

Founder and first Director of UWM Center for Jewish Studies and UWM Certificate Program in Jewish Studies.
Dr. Mazor continues leading the UWM Hebrew Studies Program in the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics.
