Course Description

In this course we will study the basic terms of literary analysis through the examination of fiction, poetry, memoirs, and essays from around the world. We will also look at how these writers use language and structure to construct cultural identity and to reflect diverse perceptions of reality.

In addition to the assigned readings, you will be required to complete midterm and final exams, as well as three short critical papers.
