The English Department is pleased to announce it has hired in American Literature and Modernity, 1880-1950 Professor Jason Puskar. Jason came from Harvard University.
Cat Averill, an English Department undergraduate took second place this year in the annual OnMilwaukee.com poetry contest. Her poem and write-up appear at http://onmilwaukee.com/ent/articles/milwaukeepoetrycontest6.html

Phong Nguyen will have the following short stories published in the next few months: "Narcissus and Medusa" in the Beloit Fiction Journal, "The Ballad of John Gray" in Porcupine, "Four Hundred and One" in the Portland Review, and "Two Step and Wannabe" in the Painted Bride Quarterly.
