UW-Milwaukee - College of Letters and Science

Graduate Student Conference

The Midwest Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference was founded by Modern Studies students to foster interdisciplinary graduate student research and professional development across the UWM campus and the Midwest.

The first conference, held in February 2006, considered the theme of "Archival Bodies" and drew more than twenty international graduate student presenters into stimulating conversation over its two days.

The second annual conference is scheduled for February 23 and 24, 2007 and is currently accepting proposals for papers on the theme "Performing (In)Visibility." For more information, the conference website can be found at grad-conference.blogspot.com and the conference organizers can be contacted by email at grad-conference@uwm.edu.

E-mail Andrew Kincaid if you would like more information about the program.
