Students admitted to the program earn the MA degree by completing a minimum of 24 credits of approved courses, passing a written examination, and completing and defending a final project.

Students in the TESOL for Adult Learners specialization must also complete a teaching internship. Students must complete all degree requirements within five years of beginning the program.
