Andrew Martin (PhD University of Iowa, 1987), is an Associate Professor of English and Film Studies, and is the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies. He teaches at all levels in the Film Studies Program from introductory courses to graduate seminars. Recent film courses include Classical Film Theory and Criticism, Introduction to Film Studies, The Cinema of Rock’n’Roll, Vampire: From Nosferatu to Buffy, and Science Fiction.
His publications include Receptions of War: Vietnam in American Culture (1993), Rethinking Global Security: Media, Popular Culture, and the "War on Terror" (2006), and articles and reviews in such journals as Contemporary Literature, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Discourse, Social Text, and The East-West Film Journal.
