Course Description
 
This is a writing intensive course designed to introduce students to the different ways one can think and write about film and television.  This course will try to uncover the students’ “normal” way of seeing and thinking about visual media and introduce new ways of looking at these media.  To that end, we will view movies and TV shows from a variety of genres, as well as learn the different ways in which film and television can be written about and discussed, from the “simple” movie review to more complex formal and cultural analyses.
