Course Description The course is designed to offer opportunities for reading some of the world’s best poetry, fiction, and drama, while developing further expertise in advanced composition by writing several papers on the literature. The experience will be enhanced by learning a literary vocabulary and various critical approaches to discussing stories, poems, and dramas, such as : Historical, Neo-Historical, Psychological, Feminist, Masculinist, Formalist, Postmodernist, Personal Response, and Combos. All assignments are due on the dates assigned. Late work may receive
a lowered grade at the discretion of the Professor. Final grades will be
determined by the student’s performance on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 above.
