Course Description
We'll examine how dark humor operates in short stories and novels by writers like Kurt Vonnnegut, Ruth Ozeki, Lorrie Moore, Sherman Alexie and AM Homes. How do these writers use humor not just for amusement and play, but also as a coping mechanism, and for social commentary?
