Course Description
This course will introduce students to the writing of both poetry and fiction by requiring them to read contemporary writers as well as a few writers from the past; students will study the methods of writing used by these writers. In connection with the works they will be reading, students will also have a chance to practice writing their own poetry and fiction. For the most part, this course will be taught in a workshop type atmosphere.
