The Cream City Review is a non-profit literary magazine devoted to publishing memorable and energetic fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction by new and established writers. The magazine also features reviews of contemporary literature and criticism, as well as author interviews and artwork.

The publication is an established biannual that attracts both readers and submissions from around the world. We receive approximately 4,000 submissions each year in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction from both unpublished and established writers. Our journal reflects this mix—often publishing poet laureates beside artists who have never been published before.

From the thousands of submissions, The Cream City Review volunteer staff of graduate students selects 25–35 poems, 5–8 stories, 1–3 essays, 1–3 book reviews, and the work of two or three visual artists for publication in each issue.
