Take Economics = Earn More!!
Several recent reports show that an economics undergraduate degree is a good career move. An April 2007 study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers reports that starting salaries for those with an undergraduate economics degree is $53,449, higher than finance and business administration starting salaries and nearly any non-engineering degree. Another study by Dan Black, Seth Sanders and Lowell Taylor (in the journal, Economic Inquiry, in July 2003) does a rigorous statistical study to show that economics majors outperform nearly every other degree in terms of salary. They also show that those with undergraduate economics degrees who go on and do graduate work earn higher salaries, even if the graduate work is not an economics degree. If this information interests you, please contact us and we will be happy to tell you more!!
