Special Considerations
- Solutions of 35S-amino acids may be volatile, and can be a contamination problem.
- Vials of 35S should be opened in a fume hood.
- Using an activated charcoal filter on the top shelf of incubators will reduce the build up of contamination on the interior surfaces of the incubator.
- No shielding is needed, it is normally provided with the solution and the apparatus being used.
