Hazardous Waste: Campus Pick-Up Schedule
The Department of University Safety and Assurances Environmental Affairs Program has posted signs in rooms where hazardous waste will be picked up to designate the location where hazardous waste should be stored. If you need additional signs for your collection site please contact Environmental Affairs at x4999 or x2883 or you may print your own sign by clicking on the sign image on the right.
Additional Information:
- Electronic Waste: Surplus computers and electronic devices are picked up at no charge and processed for UW-Milwaukee departments through a contract with Cascade Asset Management. This enables equipment to be handled in an environmentally responsible manner and ensures any information is securely removed from electronic media.
- Contact staff in the Environmental Affairs Program if you are interested in discussing safe alternatives to Mercury-containing instruments.
- Schedule training on UWM's Hazardous Waste procedures for your department.
