Training in the Frequency Column which is in bold print is required by Standard. The term periodic training generally means training that occurs at regular intervals (e.g. 1 to 3 years). Annual refresher training is recommended in order to maintain the understanding/skill level required by most performance-based standards.

The estimated times needed to provide training for each course, type of activity or exposure is the amount of time needed for the employee to obtain a minimum level of proficiency. More or less time may be needed depending on class size and the experience level of attendees. All training must be documented.
