Call for Creative Writing Manuscripts

This year the local organizers are pleased to announce the continuation of a Creative Writing Component that will run concurrently with the panels and paper presentations.

We will provide a comfortable venue for reading feminist work and for meeting other women who express themselves through the pleasure of the written word.

We are accepting poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. For poetry manuscripts, send up to ten poems, one poem per page. For fiction and nonfiction, send from 10 to 15 pages, double-spaced. Include your name, contact information, a three-sentence bio, and email address on the first page. Please make sure you don't send us your only copy, as we do not return manuscripts. On the front of the envelope indicate which genre you are submitting.

Send all manuscripts via post mail to:

We are excited to continue this addition to the conference, and we need your creative work to ensure success. All subjects will be considered, but we particularly seek work that addresses the conference theme, "Borders, Barriers, Intersections," or the embedded conference theme, "Coalitions and Conflict Across Difference."

We look forward to reading your work.
