The Wisconsin Model United Nations is sponsored by the UW-Milwaukee Institute of World Affairs and is staffed by Wisconsin university students. The two-day conference provides a unique opportunity for learning how the United Nations functions and for practicing the arts of diplomacy, debate, negotiation, and parliamentary procedure. In playing the roles of UN delegates, students develop in-depth knowledge of the culture, economy, and policies of the nations they represent.
