Sustainable Development (PSD)
This site, hosted by International Directorate of the American Association
for the Advancement of Science, features information about the AAAS
program on Population and Sustainable Development (PSD) aims to address
this problem by providing policy-oriented and field-oriented scientific
evidence on the relationship between human population and the environment.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
The mission of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is to protect
human health and to safeguard the natural environment--air, water, and
land--upon which life depends. The EPA web site features an excellent
section for teachers and students.

Information Administration-Country Briefs
This site allows you to search the US Energy Administration's database by
country or region in order to learn more about energy consumption and
policies worldwide.

This site is loaded with information about a variety of environmental

World Resources Institute
The World Resources Institute web site features information about WRI
programs and initiatives, as well as an extensive collection of links to
information and resources concerning environmental issues.
Environmental News Network
Recognized as the leading producer of environmental news and information
on the Internet, the ENN.com web site is an online destination where users
are able to access daily content on environmental issues and interact with
others having similar interests.
EnviroLink
EnviroLink is dedicated to providing you with the most comprehensive,
up-to-date environmental resources available. This site features a great
collection of resources for environmental education.

Sustainable Development Resource List
This site provides background information concerning sustainable
development. It also features a great collection of links to sustainable
development resources.
Environmental
Education Link (EE Link)
EE-Link develops and organizes Internet resources to support, enhance, and
extend effective environmental education in grades K-12. This site is a
great resource for online information.
GreenCOM
GreenCOM is the Environmental Education and Communication Project of the
U.S. Agency for International Development. In
1993, the Agency launched GreenCOM to work in tandem with other
projects in its portfolio, across sectors and across regions of the world,
to help achieve a range of environmental and education strategic
objectives.
Worldwatch Institute
Worldwatch is a nonprofit public policy research organization dedicated
to informing policymakers and the public about emerging global
problems and trends and the complex links between the world economy
and its environmental support systems.
Rainforest Action Network
The Rainforest Action Network, or RAN, focuses on the preservation of
rainforests worldwide. The RAN web site features general information
about rainforests, as well as teaching resources for middle and elementary
school grade levels.
