Proceedings
(Please make note of this and insert into the copy provided at the conference.) YOU MAY DOWNLOAD THE PDF FILE HERE: CMMSE_PROCEEDINGS.
The CMMSE Proceedings is a refereed volume. The Deadline for inclusion in the Proceedings is past. The files must be submitted electronically and the registration fee must be paid. If that is not possible by the due date, please email a request for extension. No new submissions will be accepted after May 25, as the Proceedings must be completed and sent to the printer on time. If you miss this Proceedings deadline you are still welcome to submit a talk, the close out date for scheduling talks is below. See "Instuctions for Authors" below for details on submitting final versions of articles. Selected articles from the Proceedings will be invited to submit full versions for publication in a regular journal. Details as to which journals will agree to publish a special CMMSE issue are to be announced. Past CMMSE meetings produced volumes in the Journal of Computational Mathematics, Quantum Chemistry, and the International Journal on Computer Mathematics, Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations.
Schedule of Talks Here is the Meeting Timetable.
It is best to inform the organizers about any potential conflicts as soon as possible. Please email to Bruce A. Wade, cmmse@uwm.edu or wade@uwm.edu. Please include "CMMSE" in the subject line.
Instructions for Authors The Proceedings will contain extended abstracts or articles of not more than 11 pages in length. Only PDF files without page numbers will be accepted. Please do not send source files (unless through special arrangement). The CMMSE organizers do not want any source files, whether ms word, latex, or figures. The PDF file must be of high quality with embedded fonts and there should be no page numbers, as the extended abstracts will be joined using Acrobat Standard and then page numbers will be inserted. If a file is nonconforming, it will be returned and the author will be responsible for re-submitting a correct version by the deadline, or be in danger of missing the Proceedings. There may be a small percentage of participants without the means to create PDF versions of their submissions. On a limited basis the CMMSE organizers will work with these participants by receiving source files and converting them to PDF in house. Please make a request by email, leaving sufficient time to handle the process. Printing will be in grayscale. Submission of color figures will result in a grayscale version being printed. Margins must be at least 1.5" (3.75 cm) on the left and right and 1.25" (approx. 3.2 cm) on the top and bottom. If in doubt on margins, err on the side of more space.
There is a standard header that must be used, cf. the latex or MS-Word templates. Be aware that printing will be on standard US letter size 8.5" x 11" paper, which differs from A4 paper. A4 paper is 210mm x 297mm (equivalent to approx. 8.4"x11.9"). Thus, if you are working on A4 paper intending to submit an article to be printed US letter size, remember when creating margins that A4 paper is roughly 2.5 mm narrower and 2.2cm taller. (The Latex macros will take care of this problem.) Please keep in mind that with multiple authors the schedulers may have difficulty linking a Proceedings paper to a speaker due to not knowing on inspection which author is presenting at the meeting. We therefore request that files be named using the last names of all the authors (up to three) with "_" separating the last names. If there are more than three authors, use only the first three as it appears on the document. For example, R. Criado, J. Vigo Aguiar and B. A. Wade would name their file: "criado_vigo_wade.pdf." The Latex template (plus cmmse2007.cls and latex_pdf files) or MS-Word template (plus MS-Word PDF) should be utilized.
Please email to Bruce A. Wade, cmmse@uwm.edu or wade@uwm.edu. Please include "CMMSE" in the subject line. If you are unable to create these PDF files, please email and request to be able to submit source files in order for CMMSE organizers to create the PDF files in-house.
