Programs- Summer 2008 Paris Business Dates: May 17- May 31, 2008 Application deadline: March 14, 2008 with $250 deposit *Please note: The dates listed above are program start dates in-country. Please allow for appropriate travel time. Overview: UWM’s Lubar School of Business sponsors this truly unique program to Paris, France. By attending class lectures on various topics in International Business (including US & European Accounting, US Investment in Europe, and the European financial market) and working on group projects at the Advancia-Negocia Business School in Paris, students will earn 3 credits in International Business. In addition, there will be several visits to local businesses, including trips to French companies, as well as an exciting day-trip to Normandy. As part of the course, students will be required to attend three pre-departure Saturday classes to learn about the French language and culture. There is no language requirement for this program. APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED ON A ROLLING BASIS SO STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY EARLY.
Credits: 3 undergraduate or graduate credits in International Business Participation: This program is open to all US college/university students. Preference will be given to UWM students and students who have taken Finance 350. Estimated Cost*: $3,250 *Cost includes academic fees, lodging, breakfast, lunch, business visits, Paris transport pass, Normandy excursion and two group dinners. *Program fees are based on a realistic estimate of participants. The cost may change if the exchange rate fluctuates or the minimum number of participants is not achieved. **There are fee differentials for graduate students and non-Wisconsin residents. ***Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Grants can be used for this program.
