Programs-Summer 2008 Summer in Florence, Italy July 8 -August 7, 2008 Application deadline: March 14, 2008 with $250 deposit
Overview: Take advantage of the opportunity to experience Florence to its fullest while earning Art History and Studio Art or Italian Language credit, in the place where the Renaissance reinvented a whole culture. Students will take courses at the Santa Reparata International School of Art. Required coursework includes a 3-credit Art History course and either a 3-credit beginning Italian Language course or a 3-credit Studio Art course. One of the Studio Art offerings will be an on-site drawing course taught by the faculty director.
Credits: 6 Undergraduate credits associated with the following options: Option 1: Art History* (3cr) & Studio Art (3cr) Option 2: Art History* (3cr) & Beginning Italian (3cr) *Art History course counts toward L&S International requirement
Participation: This program is open to all college/university students. Preference given to UWM students. Estimated Cost*: Option 1: $3,725 Option 2: $3,175 *Program fees are based on a realistic estimate of participants. The cost may change if the exchange rate fluctuates or the minimum number of participants is not achieved. **There are fee differentials for graduate students and non-Wisconsin residents. ***Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Grants can be used for this program.
