Overview:

This brand new, exciting program provides a hands-on learning experience on International Librarianship from the perspective of South African professionals.  Students will learn about the roles of culture and technology in the access to and interpretation of information in South Africa.  Toward the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to participate in a conference of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions in Durban, South Africa.  Students may earn three undergraduate or graduate credits in Information Studies for this program.

Credits:

3 credits in Information Studies (Undergraduate or Graduate)

Participation:

Open to all US college/university students.  Preference given to UWM students.

Estimated Cost*: $4,100

*Program fees are based on a realistic estimate of participants.  The cost may change if the exchange rate fluctuates or the minimum number of participants is not achieved.

**There are fee differentials for graduate students and non-Wisconsin residents.
