Programs-Summer 2007 Summer in Rome, Italy May 31 -June 29, 2007 Application deadline: March 15, 2007 with $250 deposit *Please note: The dates listed above are program start dates in-country. Please allow for appropriate travel time.
Overview: Students participating in this program will have a truly unique opportunity to enhance their Italian language proficiency at all levels in one of the most respected language schools in Italy – The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci, located in the quaint Piazza del Orlogio. Every morning, Italian classes are conducted in the school, which is just a short distance from many of Rome’s cultural and historical sites. Every afternoon, an Italian Culture and Civilization course is offered, taught in English by on-site faculty A total of 6 credits are available for this program. Students will be housed in either shared apartments or homestays.
Credits: 3 undergraduate credits Italian Language (beginner, intermediate or advanced) and 3 credits Italian Culture and Civilization (taught in English). Participation: This program is open to all college/university students. Preference given to UWM students. Estimated Cost*: $3,900* *Program fees are based on a realistic estimate of participants. The cost may change if the exchange rate fluctuates or the minimum number of participants is not achieved. **There are fee differentials for graduate students and non-Wisconsin residents. ***Financial Aid, Scholarships, and Grants can be used for this program.
