Description

Paris offers unlimited cultural and historic resources with its buildings and monuments, which represent more than 2,000 years of history. Its museums, theatres and libraries are among the finest in the world. In a metropolitan area of ten million, there are a wide variety of ethnic groups and lifestyles. Paris is located in the north of France, conveniently near other areas of interest such as Normandy, Brittany, the Loire Valley, and the Champagne region. The University of Paris III- Sorbonne Nouvelle is located in central Paris.

Paris III is one of the best universities in France for Arts and is located in one of the world's most beautiful and interesting cities. Students will get a wonderful taste of French language and culture to round off their undergraduate studies in French.

Paris III is a pre-eminent university in Paris for Cinema, Media Studies, Languages, Linguistics, Literary and Theatre Studies. Our exchange students, possibly those in Law, English Languages, Literature and Anthropology will reap the benefits of study at this excellent university in Paris. All courses are taught in French.

Dates

Students attend Paris II for an academic year from early September until late June.

Eligibility

This is a graduate exchange program only.  participation on this program only by the recommendation of the French Faculty.  Applicants must be enrolled as a graduate student at UWM.  Students must have six semesters of college level French or the equivalent.  Applicants may be called in for a personal interview.

Courses

Students may enroll in any course the university has to offer.  All courses are taught in French.  The strong subject areas are:  cinema, media studies, languages, linguistics, translation, literary and theatre studies.  A teaching assistantship is available.  Please visit the school's website for a detailed course list:   http://www.univ-paris3.fr/

Cost

UWM students pay UWM tuition, $450 administrative fee and $37/month for health insurance.
