Paris offers unlimited cultural and historic resources with its buildings and monuments, which represent more than 2,000 years of history. Its museums, theatres and libraries are among the finest in the world. In a metropolitan area of ten million, there are a wide variety of ethnic groups and lifestyles. Paris is located in the north of France, conveniently near other areas of interest such as Normandy, Brittany, the Loire Valley, and the Champagne region.
ESSEC Business School is located in Cergy-Pontoise, a thriving town northwest of the capital, on a pleasant modern campus, just 30 kilometers away from the center of Paris. It is easily accessible by train, metro (RER A), or car. The campus includes several residence halls, a student cafeteria, the ESSEC library, a computer center (CTI), and numerous student associations. Extensive sporting facilities are also available on campus.
Exchange students may select their courses from the course catalog, which contains over 150 advanced management courses and numerous foreign language and civilization courses. In certain cases, they are allowed to take any other courses offered by ESSEC Business School (IMHI courses, MBA Luxury Management courses, etc.). Courses are rigorous and taught in French and English.
