Endorsed by the School of Business at UWM, this exchange program for undergraduates is of special interest to Business, Communication, or Mass Communication students. Advancia-Negocia, a leading Paris business school of the Paris Chamber of Commerce, offers courses both in English and French and is a great option for UWM students seeking to improve their French while also taking business classes.
UWM students have a couple of options for study at Advancia- Negocia. Advanced undergraduates who would like to study at Negocia in the fall can take classes in English with French students pursuing a graduate degree in business negotiation. This program offers and intense “Integration Seminar” and introduction to French business for all students, both French and international. This training period offers exchange students the unique opportunity to get to know their French classmates.
During the Spring semester, students can take classes in the Bachelor of Marketing and International Affairs program. Negocia integrates international students with degree-seeking students. Those "global classrooms" allow local and international students to study together in English. Students with a good command of French have the option of taking some classes in French.
Most UWM students participating in this exchange only study at Negocia for a semester but with approval from their advisors, students can study there for a year. The program also offers qualified students the possibility of staying into the summer to complete a one-month program.
Advancia-Negocia is located in one of Paris’ most elegant neighborhoods, central to public transportation, shops and restaurants. Additionally, Advancia-Negocia is equipped with computer and language laboratories, a research documentation center, cafeteria and a fitness center.
