The International Studies Resource Network is a resource created for K-12 teachers interested or involved in teaching global and international studies. The network sends out information regarding upcoming events including teacher workshops, conferences, and other events sponsored by the Institute of World Affairs or the Center for International Education, as well as a variety of resources related to international education.
- Global Studies Links and Resources
We have created a list of useful links and resources for K-12 educators related to global and international studies. Choose from a menu that includes resources concerning human rights, foreign language resources, social studies resources, international classroom linkages, international opportunities for teachers, and many more.
- Explore the World with WIOC
The Wisconsin International Outreach Consortium (WIOC) is a non-profit outreach organization combining the talents and facilities of federally-funded international programs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
As an organization, WIOC is dedicated to "internationalizing" educational curricula and professional knowledge through language and area studies. The WIOC centers perform a variety of individual outreach services, particularly for K-12 and college instructors. Contact Nicole Palasz at the Institute of World Affairs for more information.
- Teacher Resource Library
The Center for International Education has a variety of different film and curriculum resources available to teachers. We are also currently working with members of the Golda Meir Library staff to develop a catalogue of international studies resources (curriculum, film, reference, etc.) available at the UWM library.
Please contact Nicole Palasz for more information about our holdings and lending policies.
