The following links are primarily for students on semester programs and give a brief overview of subjects, areas, and majors available at Hessen Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences (universities specializing in technical or hard science disciplines). Links are provided where possible to the English site of each Hessen University.

 

Please keep in mind that classes may or may not be available in English and even the listed translations are only approximations.  Disciplines offered at German institutions that have the same name may be structured quite differently from U.S. departments. For the most part you will not find a listing of exact courses offered (or course descriptions) prior to departure. German universities list these only shortly before the semester begins. Because of this you will need to be flexible with your course schedule.
