General Orientation Student Handbook

If you have been accepted to a study abroad program or know in which one you plan to enroll, then make an appointment with a study abroad advisor.

GENERAL ADVISING SESSIONS
These hour-long sessions review all the opportunities available to you. They explain how financial aid can be used for accredited study abroad programs and assist you in selecting a program.
This is the first step for persons unsure what program would best serve their needs.
Fall 2006 semester sessions:
Wednesday, Sept 13, 1-2pm
Thursday, Sept 21, 2-3pm
Thursday, Sept 28, 3-4pm
Friday, Oct 6, 1-2pm
All sessions will be held in Garland 104
STUDY ABROAD LIBRARY
Students are welcome to use the extensive study abroad library anytime during office hours. Included in the library are country files filled with brochures and information about overseas programs. In addition you will find more detailed information on UWM's Programs, If study abroad is not a viable option for you, look for information on work abroad, international career, teaching abroad and international travel.
