Internships

The Overseas Programs and Partnerships office now offers for-credit internship possibilities around the world as a component of study abroad or exchange programs. UWM advocates experiential learning opportunities such as internships abroad and considers them to be viable way to earn academic credit. Students must follow the UWM Standards for International Internships.

Internship Programs as a Component of Exchange Programs
Available to UWM Students only
Strong cooperation is necessary between UWM and partner institutions overseas, and between UWM and the business community to facilitate the internship experience. Inter-institutional partnership agreements, such as the 62 active agreements UWM holds, function on the principle of reciprocity. Partner schools find internship placements and provide on-going support for student interns from Milwaukee.
