Institutional Partnerships

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee maintains 64 "exchange agreements" with 24 countries throughout the world.

For a comprehensive list of inter-institutional exchange agreements to which UWM is a party, listed alphabetically by the country location of institutional partner.

 

Many of these agreements are general agreements whereby UWM and universities in other countries agree to the exchange of information, faculty members, research activities, and students stipulating that student exchanges, in particular, will require a supplementary agreement. These exchange agreements show a formal cooperation between institutions and indicate affiliations that can enhance grant applications.

Please contact the Overseas Programs and Partnerships (OPP) team at  414-229-5182 during the initial stages of your exchange proposal.  OPP can provide lists of
  • universities in the country of your prospective exchange 
  • UWM departments that have already established exchanges in the region of your interest

 
All of the UWM exchange agreements are signed by the Chancellor and must be reviewed and approved through the OPP Faculty Advisory Committee.  Please contact OPP for more information.
