Global Studies CoursesFaculty Members from across UWM's schools have helped design the Bachelor's in Global Studies courses. There are two types of courses: 1. All Global Studies students are required to complete the following:
2. Required and elective courses specific to each of the five tracks: I. Global Studies Core Courses are taken in sequence and introduce and explore the issues below. Global Studies I: People & Politics 3 cr
Global Studies II: Economics and the Environment 3 cr
Global Studies III: Globalization & Information Technology 3 cr
II. World Regions courses provide an introduction to area studies. To fulfill this requirement, students chose from one of the following 3 credit courses:
III. Think Tank Learning Community cours es provide a forum to discuss current global issues and apply new knowledge in analyzing case studies. This is a one credit course with variable content. Students are required to enroll in four 1 credit Think Tank courses. For more detailed information on Global Studies courses, please reference the course syllabi. |
